Create Physical Spaces

A physical space in ZenEdge represents the actual hardware — the real meeting room or pod. Virtual spaces in ZenCore handle bookings; physical spaces in ZenEdge handle the door, Wi-Fi, display, and other devices for that room. This video shows how to create and describe one.

00:00 — This tutorial guides you through creating and managing physical spaces. You'll define a physical space and add descriptive details to identify it clearly.

00:11 — A physical space is the actual hardware — the real meeting room or pod. In ZenCore we have spaces that are virtual. In ZenEdge, the physical space is the hardware.

00:34 — Click Create Space. Give it a name — e.g., "Meeting Room A".

00:47 — Add a description to identify the space clearly — e.g., "On the second floor".

01:00 — Click Create Meeting Space. You can create any number of physical spaces here, and edit or delete them at any time.

01:17 — Why create a physical space? You attach all your IoT devices to it (door, Wi-Fi, lights, fan, etc.). The next videos cover that.

01:28 — You've successfully created and described a physical space. This setup prepares you to map it to a virtual space and attach IoT devices.
