Connect Physical to Virtual Spaces

How to link a physical space in ZenEdge to a virtual space in ZenCore — create a ZenEdge API key, paste it into ZenCore's Connect Now flow, pick the physical space, and set the mapping period. Once mapped, bookings on the virtual space drive door access on the physical one.

00:00 — This tutorial shows how to connect a physical meeting space with a virtual space using ZenEdge and ZenCore. Ensure you have access to both platforms and created physical and virtual spaces.

00:14 — Open the ZenEdge platform. A physical meeting space named "Space Test Physical Device" already exists. Click it → see details → Mappings is empty since we haven't configured a virtual mapping.

00:40 — Open the ZenCore platform and your virtual space. In the Physical Space tab, click Connect Now. ZenCore prompts for a ZenEdge API key — we don't have one yet.

01:03 — Back to ZenEdge → API Keys → Create Key. Name it "Mapping Key". Set expiration to next month. Grant all access. Click Create.

01:19 — Copy the API key and save it safely — it won't be shown again.

01:24 — Back to ZenCore → paste the key → Connect Now. A dropdown asks which physical space to connect — pick "Space Test Physical Space". Select the mapping period — e.g., 7 days because the physical space is only available for 7 days. Click Submit.

01:57 — The physical space is now mapped to the virtual space.

02:03 — Back in ZenEdge → open the physical space → the virtual pod is shown under Mappings with the selected period.

02:17 — You can unlink at any time, from either ZenCore or ZenEdge. To remap to a different virtual space, unlink and connect again.

02:44 — You've successfully connected a physical meeting space with a virtual space by creating and applying an API key, mapping the spaces, and managing the connection.
